Zombie Zero Apocalypse
A critical dissection of the seemingly rotten and dead-in-the-water zombie genre. From the beginnings of the zombie mythology in literature and the pulp magazines, through to the films in the 1930′s and 1940′s, the high-water mark of the groundbreaking George A Romero films like Night of the Living Dead, up to the mass infiltration into mainstream popular culture, with computer games, comics, kiddies lunch boxes, and The Walking Dead TV series. Why are we so fascinated by these fictional tortured corpses, and what does the metaphor say about the human condition?
Hosted by James DC, with guests Ben Slotover, Mark Stafford, Amy Cutler
